Dolly-Parton
Dolly Parton was born on January 19, 1946, at Locust Ridge Tenn. She was raised with 12 other children. The vivid imagination of her mother allowed her to escape the pressures of daily life. The songs she wrote were composed before she could read or write. Her first guitar purchase came when she was just 8 years old and started singing at the Knoxville Tenn radio station at the age of 11. In the same time, Gold Band Records was a tiny independent record label. As a student in high school, she made her name in the local community, yet she yearned for a larger stage. After she finished her high school, in 1964 she moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde (1967) and Something Fishy (1968) were her two first charting albums from Monument Records. Porter Wagoner, a syndicated show on TV in the late '60s, was looking for a singer for his show. Parton was offered the gig and in the year 1967, she signed with RCA Records in 1968 and became a member of with the Grand Ole Opry in 1969. However she left Wagoner's show in 1974 when her solo songs like Joshua Coat of Many Colors and Jolene had begun charting their collaborative efforts. Parton composed "I will Always Be Loving You" in support of Wagoner just after the pair split. The song was ranked No. The song of Parton in 1974."I Will Never Love You peaked at the No.
